FINDING THE SILVER LINING

“A more ambitious Australia is a place where our leaders in government, civil society and business, embrace cognitive diversity, promote creativity, and show compassion; with curious minds and open hearts.”

“A more ambitious Australia is a place where our leaders in government, civil society and business, embrace cognitive diversity, promote creativity, and show compassion; with curious minds and open hearts.  A place where the Arts and Artists are not relegated to the margins as non-essential entertainment and leisure, or visual product providers, but acknowledged and rewarded as central to our learning, civil debates, social discourse and problem solving needs.

I am working towards a vision of the future where the business org chart includes an Artist in Residence as the norm. Where the Artist’s journey imagining and creating their new work while in residence, provides vicarious and visceral learning opportunities for people to develop growth mindsets, advance their own creative insight and stimulate curiosity. Where Artists receive appropriate financial reward for their work and connect with audiences that may never or rarely have engaged with the Arts.”
